Nebraska women’s swimming and diving begins its 2025-26 season with the annual Scarlet vs. Cream intrasquad meet at the Devaney Natatorium on Friday, Sept. 26, at 4 p.m. (CT).
The Huskers capped their 2024-25 season off with an 8-2 dual record, following a top-35 finish at the 2025 NCAA Championships.
Heading into her final year, Kelsey Clairmont has led strong efforts in the diving well for the Huskers. The senior from Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, qualified for the NCAA Championships in 2023 and 2024 on the platform dive. Last season, she captured 13 top-five finishes and 15 zone-qualifying finishes with two individual titles. Alongside Clairmont to lead the Scarlet team on Friday will be senior divers Ellee Delcamp and Frankie Webb. Junior Beatrix Tanko will support Clairmont as they lead the sophomore-dominated team of Virginia Consiglio, Jenna Gogel, Marissa Laurin, Jazmyn Lunn, Riley Miklos and Katy Zboinski.
Abby Baxter, a junior from Coppell, Texas, made her NCAA Championship debut last season on the three-meter board. She harnessed a 20th-place finish in the prelims with a score of 299.45. Baxter, who was chosen as a Big Ten Diver to watch on Tuesday, will be a leader for the Cream team, along with senior and team captain Giulia Marchi. Juniors Jenna Brown, Amelia Riggott and Jordyn Schmucker will add leadership for newcomers Natalie Dunaway, Addy Farman, Alaira Hadford, Sophie Kissuk and Aurora Zanin.
Last season, the Scarlet defeated the Cream 96-91, recording the Scarlet’s second consecutive victory. The Cream recorded a win in 2022 with a 91-89 finish.
