Katy Zboinski Season 2024-25

Before Nebraska
The 2023 NIAA Nevada 5A State Champion in the 100 breaststroke, Katy Zboinski joins the Huskers from Sparks, Nev. She is the school record holder in the 100 breaststroke. With her club team, Lakeridge Swim Team, Zboinski was named to the 2022-23 USA Swimming Scholastic All-American team and achieved the junior national cut in the 200 breaststroke. At the 2024 NIAA Northern Region Championship, she placed first in the 100 breaststroke and third in the 200 IM. 

Personal:
The daughter of Curt and Krystal Zboinski, Katy was born on March 21, 2006. She has one brother, Jerod. Zboinski will study Criminology at Nebraska with the goal of working in the FBI. 

“I chose Nebraska because they truly care about their athletes and I will get an excellent education and join an amazing swim program,” Zboinski said.
