Virginia Consiglio Season 2024-25

Before Nebraska
Virginia Consiglio joins the Huskers from Genova, Italy. She swam with the Italian Junior National Team at the 2021 and 2023 European Junior Championships, setting a junior national record in the 50 butterfly. Consiglio placed 10th in the long-course 50 backstroke prelims with a career-best 29.37. She added a 13th-place finish in the long-course 50 butterfly prelims and finished 15th overall in the semifinals (27.65). At the Campionato Italiano Assoluto Open, Consiglio bested her long-course 50 backstroke time by a second to finish 13th.

The daughter of Tony and Paola Consiglio, Virginia Consiglio was born on June 2, 2005. She has one brother, Filippo. Consiglio will study Architecture at Nebraska.
