Memorial Stadium saw another massive addition in 2006 with the construction of the Tom and Nancy Osborne Athletic Complex and the Hawks Championship Center. The Osborne Athletic Complex became the new home of Nebraska Football offices, locker rooms, strength and condition, and administrative offices. The addition also added 6,500 new seats to the north endzone, bringing capacity to 81,067.
September 20, 2001 -The powerful pregame ceremony included a tunnel walk led by first responders from UNL PD, Lincoln police, Lincoln Fire and Rescue and Nebraska State Patrol.
