Led by NWCA Academic All-American Robert Sanders, 15 Nebraska wrestlers were named to the Spring Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll, the conference announced Thursday.
To earn Commissioner’s Honor Roll status, a student-athlete must earn at least a 3.0 GPA. Among the 14 NU wrestlers honored were eight true freshmen wrapping up their first year at NU, including Austin Baier, Craig Brester, Brady LaMar, Robert Plambeck, Mike Rowe, Stefan Tighe, Levi Wofford and Brad Zurek.
Also included on the Honor Roll was senior David Ingalls, who graduated in May 2006 with a degree in management.
In all, 249 Nebraska student-athletes earned Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll recognition, including 38 who earned a perfect 4.0 GPA.
