Career Notes
2007-In his second year in the program, Brady LaMar finished with a 2-6 record in open tournaments, wrestling behind Robert Sanders at 149 pounds.

2006-A pair of 2-2 open tournament performances highlighted LaMar’s first season at NU.  LaMar, who ended the season with an 8-11 record, went 2-2 at the Kaufman-Brand Open in the 20-and-under division at 141 pounds and also 2-2 in the at the Dana College Open at 149 pounds. 

Before Nebraska-LaMar was a four-sport letterman at <?xml:namespace prefix="st1" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"?>SilverLakeHigh School.  LaMar placed four times at state and contributed to two top-five Class 3A finishes at SilverLake for his father, Coach Harry LaMar.  Brady was named the school’s wrestler of the year four times and was a three-time regional champion.  LaMar was also a four-year letterman in football and was part of three state runner-up teams.  Along with a letter in track, LaMar earned three monograms in baseball and was part of a state championship team his senior year.<?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>

 

Personal-Born in Wichita, Kan., on Nov. 18, 1986, Brady is the son of Mary and Harry LaMar.  LaMar was a member of National Honor Society and was treasurer of his high school graduating class.  He has one sister, Lanell, 20, and two brothers, Lucas, 23, and Brett, 13.  LaMar was majoring in economics and financial planning.
