Ellen Shutts began working at the University in 1980, and served as the secretary for wrestling, as well as the men's and women's tennis programs until her retirement in August 2024.
From 1987 to 2006, Shutts served as the secretary for the men's basketball program.
Before joining the athletic department, Shutts was a secretary for the Nebraska Student Union’s Food Department.
Ellen and her husband, Rob, have a daughter, Erin, a son, Ryan, and five granddaughters.
