Former Husker Ashley Guile was hired as Nebraska's first Director of Video Productions in the summer of 2014. In her role, Guile is responsible for all of the Huskers' video needs, including the shooting and editing of practice and game video, which includes tagging every pitch during the season. Guile also assists the coaching staff with advanced opponent video scouting.
Guile was a four-year letterwinner for the Huskers from 2008 to 2012. Following her playing career, Guile served as a graduate manager in 2013 and 2014. A catcher and first baseman for the Huskers, Guile started 217 games in her career, posting a .309 batting average. She was an all-conference, all-region and two-time conference player-of-the-week selection. Guile owns a share of two Nebraska game records (walks and runs scored), and she produced at least one RBI in 10 consecutive games as a senior, the longest streak in school history. Guile ended her career ranked second in school history in hit-by-pitches (26), fourth in walks (103) and ninth in doubles (35) and RBIs (118). Off the field, Guile was a two-time academic all-conference honoree, and she took home a Big Ten Sportsmanship Award in 2012 along with Nebraska's prestigious Heart and Soul Award.
A native of Olathe, Kan., Guile earned her bachelor's degree in special education with a coaching endorsement in December of 2011. She also earned a master's degree from Nebraska in higher education administration.
