Scarlet Wins Fourth Consecutive Title at Annual Intrasquad Meet

Scarlet took its fourth consecutive win over Cream in the annual swimming and diving intrasquad with a final score of 746-663 on Saturday morning. 

The Huskers capped their 2025-26 season off with a 7-2 dual record, following a 27th-place finish at the 2026 NCAA Championships. 

Cream claimed the first relay title in the 200 medley relay, where a team of Marissa Laurin, Amelia Riggott, Meredith Peyton and Riley Miklos hit a time of 1:46.80. 

Scarlet earned the second event title in the 100 freestyle. Led by Beatrix Tanko with a time of 51.99. A freshman out of Omaha, Neb., Peyton was right behind the three-time school record holder with a time of 52.77.

Virginia Consiglio took Scarlet’s next event title in the 100 back with a time of 57.07, with the freshman from of Tulsa, Okla., Mylie Bradley on her heels with a time of 58.77

Dominika Borkowska snagged Scarlett the 100 breast title with a time of 1:03.76. Cream followed in second- and third-place with Riggott and Laurin, who notched times of 1:06.39 and 1:06.82, respectively. 

Tanko, a senior from Budapest, Hungary, took the 100 fly first-place win for Scarlet in a time of 55.15. Georgia Holgate, the freshman out of Cambridge, United Kingdom and Peyton came in second- and third-positions, with times of 57.53 and 57.75 in the event.

With her third victory of the day, Tanko snatched another victory for the Scarlet crew in the 100 individual medley with a time of 59.34. Peyton came in a close second with a time of 1:00.62. From Indiana State, Claire Parsons took third place with a time of 1:01.41. 

In the divers-swim event, Abby Baxter swam a 34.26 in the 50 freestyle to beat out Jordyn Schmucker and Eve Shrader. 

Following in the swimmers-dive event, Jenna Brown of the Scarlet team claimed the 2026-27 diving title with a crowd vote. 

In the diving well, Addy Farman of the Cream team swept the one- and three-meter springboards. Schmucker took second on the three-meter board, while Shrader stole second place on the three-meter board. 

In the last event of the day, the Scarlet team won the 200 free relay in a time of 1:38.35 to secure their fourth consecutive title in team competition. 

The Big Red will open its regular season on Friday, Oct. 2 at 4 p.m. (CT) at the Devaney Natatorium, where they will host the Iowa State Cyclones.
