Ihnen Leads 13 Huskers on Big 12 Honor Roll

Lincoln ? Josh Ihnen posted a perfect 4.0 grade-point average during the fall semester to lead a contingent of 13 Nebraska wrestlers on the 2008 Fall Big 12 Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll. It was the most honorees for the team since the spring semester of 2006.

Ihnen, a freshman from Sheldon, Iowa, posted a perfect GPA as a finance major, and was joined by six other first-year Huskers on the list. Freshmen Jon Burns, Ross Grande, Ridge Kiley, Ethan Studebaker, Alex Thomas and junior Alex Howard all earned the accolade in their first semester at Nebraska.

Junior Craig Brester and redshirt freshman Tucker Lane were named to the list for the third consecutive semester, while juniors Stephen Dwyer and Frank Jonas earned the honor for the second time in their career.

A total of 324 Nebraska student-athletes claimed spots on the 2008 Fall Big 12 Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll, including 38 Huskers who posted perfect 4.0 grade-point averages. In order to earn a spot on the honor roll, a student-athlete must post a GPA or 3.0 or higher during the semester.
