2009-10 Outlook
Ethan Studebaker is expected to contend for a starting spot at 165 pounds. He moved up from the 157-pound weight class in the last half of the 2008-09 season and has made another move in hopes to benefit the team.

2008-09
Regular Season

Studebaker posted a 4-6 mark during his redshirt season with Nebraska. He opened with a 1-2 showing at the UNK Loper Open on Dec. 13, and posted a 2-2 record at the Brand Open on Jan. 17. He moved up to 165 pounds to go 1-2 at the Grandview Open on Jan. 31.

Before Nebraska
Studebaker claimed three top-five finishes at the state tournament, wrestling for Coach Herold Pester at Class C Raymond Central High School. A four-time conference and two-time district champion, Studebaker tallied a 142-19 record to earn the career wins record at Raymond Central. He posted back-to-back 33-8 seasons to begin his high school career, including a fourth-place finish at the state tournament his freshman year. He rolled to a 34-2 mark and fifth-place finish during his junior campaign before notching a 42-1 record and claiming the state championship his senior season. He was twice voted Raymond Central's most valuable wrestler.

In the classroom, he was a four-time academic all-state selection while being named to the honor roll all four years.

He was also a four-time letterwinner while competing in cross country.

Personal
The son of Robert and Becky Studebaker, Ethan was born on March 7, 1990. He has two sisters, Dawn and Sierra, and one brother, Aaron. Ethan is a pre-physician's assistant major at Nebraska.
