The Nebraska men's golf team finish in 15th place in the two-day Louisiana Classic in Lafayette, La, Tuesday, March 13. NU's team total after the 36 holes event was 622. Monday's second round was canclled due to rain.
Tennessee won the two-day event shooting a four-under par 572, four shots ahead of second-place Southern Methodist. Mississippi golfer Troy Muller shot five-under par en route to the individual title. Nebraska's Seth Porter finished in a tie for 40th along with teammate Blake Humbles. Porter and Humbles both shot a two-day score of 150.
Jim Troy finished in a tie for 70th while shooting a 157. Husker Russ Cooley shot a score of 160 en route to a tie for 76. Huskers Mike Vanier and Kevin Bryson each shot a two-day total of 166 tying them for 79th place.
