2000-01 Nebraska Men's Golf Team

Sophomore (2000-01)
Ryan Cooley totaled a three-round score of 226 and finished in a tie for 22nd at the Fairway Club Invitational. He shot a 74 in the third round of the tourney.

Freshman (1999-00)
Cooley transferred from Iowa State after also attending North Dakota State. He sat out during the 1999-2000 season because of NCAA transfer rules.

Before Nebraska
Cooley lettered five times for coach Mike Ries at Watertown High School. He was a two-time state runner-up and helped lead his team to a third-place finish at the state championships his junior year, and a second-place finish his senior year. Cooley was a three-time all-state selection and four-time all-conference selection. He was elected team captain his junior and senior seasons and qualified for both the U.S. Junior Amateur and the National Independent Insurance Classic, finishing 45th out of 130 at the "Big I."

Ryan is the son of Ron and Diana Cooley. Nicknamed 'Coolio,' he is undecided on his major. He was born on Feb. 25, 1980.
