Ross Richardson joined the Nebraska softball program in the fall of 2019 as its video coordinator. In his role, Richardson is responsible for all of the Huskers' video needs, including the shooting and editing of practice and game video, which includes tagging every pitch during the season. He also assists the coaching staff with advanced opponent video scouting.
Richardson came to Nebraska after spending a year and a half with the Seattle Mariners organization. Richardson was responsible for recording and charting the AAA Affiliate of the Mariners, the Tacoma Rainiers. He created scouting reports and also developed a video database for the staff to use to break down player mechanics and scout opponents.
Richardson has extensive experience in the field and has worked with the San Deigo Padres and USA Baseball in similar roles.
A native of Phoenix, Ariz., Richardson graduated from Westminster College in Fulton, Mo., in 2015 with a degree in sports management.
