Ali Grant joined the Nebraska softball program in August of 2017 and is in her second season with the team in 2020. In her role, Grant has the responsibility of planning and coordinating all aspects of team travel in addition to assisting with all administrative aspects of the Husker program. Grant also serves as the primary liaison between the softball program and several areas within the Nebraska Athletic Department.
Grant came to Nebraska after spending nearly a decade as a student-athlete and full-time employee at Michigan State. She was a four-year starter for the Spartan softball team from 2009 to 2012, earning third-team All-Big Ten honors in 2011 and academic All-Big Ten accolades each of her final three seasons.
Following her playing career, Grant served as a graduate intern with the Michigan State compliance and ticketing offices. She then worked as a graduate assistant for the Varsity ‘S’ Club and was elevated to the position of director of operations in May of 2016 after earning her master’s degree in sports management.
Grant earned her bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies/human relations with a specialization in psychology in December of 2012. In addition to her time at Michigan State, Grant served as a sports management intern with IMG Academy in the summer of 2015. Grant is originally from Lutz, Fla.
