Senior Season (2016)

  • Earned a total of 33 starts
  • Showed her versatility by starting multiple games at three different positions

  • Had two walks & two RBIs in opening game of Big Ten Tournament vs. Purdue

Junior Season (2015)

• Reached base safely in six of her 11 plate appearances in three games at Wisconsin
• Tied her career high with three hits vs. North Dakota State
• Went 6-for-13 with two home runs and six RBIs the week of March 11-14
• Went 2-for-2 with a home run vs. Boise State in her home state of California
• Hit a pinch-hit, three-run home run vs. UNO to wrap up a run-rule victory
• Produced an RBI vs. No. 12 UCLA
• Recorded a pinch-hit, two-run double against Oregon State that same day
• Recorded her first multi-hit game with a 2-for-4 effort against Texas Tech
• Had a walk, a hit-by-pitch and RBI in her season debut at New Mexico State


Sophomore Season (2014)

• Started 55 games, four at designated player and the final 51 games at first
• Twenty-five percent of her hits went for extra bases
• Forty percent of her RBIs came with two outs
• Totaled five multi-hit games and one game with multiple RBIs
• Had a career-high two doubles and added two RBIs at Illinois
• Went 3-for-3 vs. Ohio State, the first three-hit game of her career
• Had a pair of RBIs in the NCAA Tournament
• Produced the game-winning RBI with a two-out single in Nebraska’s 2-1 elimination victory over Kansas
• Defensively, posted a .993 fielding percentage


Freshman Season (2013)

• Started 29 games, including 20 as the designated player and nine at first
• Totaled eight multi-hit games and three games with multiple RBIs
• Started all but one game during the month of March
• Went 3-for-7 with her first two career home runs in a doubleheader at Oklahoma State
• Posted five consecutive multi-hit games and six multi-hit efforts in a seven-game stretch in mid-March
• Homered in three straight games during the stretch, the first homers of her career
• Produced a career-high three RBIs in consecutive games at Oklahoma State and Wichita State
• Went 2-for-2 with a homer and two RBIs at Wichita State to earn Big Ten Freshman-of-the-Week honors
• Went 4-for-6 in a doubleheader with New Mexico State in her home debut
• Started the season opener and recorded first career hit, run and RBI


Before Nebraska (Corona High School)

• Four-time all-league selection and three-time first-team honoree
• Three-time All-Southern Section pick
• Earned All-Inland Valley accolades as a senior
• Participated in the Orange and Riverside Counties all-star game
• Played her travel ball for the Corona Angels


Personal

• Communication studies major who earned her bachelor's degree in December of 2016
• Born on Jan. 29, 1994
• Daughter of Marty and Dawna Tyson
• Her father Marty coached her travel team
• Has three sisters, Dena, Tori and Dominique
• Dena played at Washington from 2004 to 2007 and was a first-team All-American in 2007
• Tori played at Nebraska from 2008 to 2010 before an injury forced her to miss her final season
