Freshman Season [2011]
McCann
appeared in 33 games during her freshman season, primarily as a pinch runner as
she made the adjustment to the Division I level and worked in the outfield
after playing infield in high school. McCann made 31 pinch-running appearances
and also pinch hit once, while seeing game action in left field and earning one
start as the designated player. She finished the year 1-for-4 at the plate with
a double and 10 runs scored. She went 0-for-1 but was hit by a pitch and scored
a run in her only start against South Dakota State on April 27. McCann scored a
run as a pinch runner in each of her first two career games. In the first at
bat of her career, McCann doubled against La Salle on March 12.
Before Nebraska
