Hill’s Career Capsule
Molly Hill produced several noteworthy accomplishments in her Nebraska career. Hill set the school record for single-season winning percentage as a freshman, led the Big 12 Conference with a 1.05 ERA as a sophomore, became just the second Husker pitcher ever to earn CoSIDA Academic All-America honors as a junior and became the program's seventh first-team Academic All-American as a senior.

A native of Wayne, Neb., Hill ranks third on the Husker career charts in innings pitched (766.0), fourth in victories (75), fifth in complete games (79), sixth in strikeouts (703), eighth in shutouts (19) and ninth in winning percentage (.636). In her career, Hill posted a 75-43 record with a 1.96 ERA that was inflated by a 3.27 mark as a junior, when she underwent knee surgery just prior to the season and missed nearly a month of the year.

Off the field, Hill was a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-American while graduating in four years with a 3.97 grade-point average. Hill left as the only pitcher in Husker history to be a repeat Academic All-American.

Senior Season [2009]
Molly Hill carried the bulk of the workload in her senior season with a season-ending injury to All-American Robin Mackin. Hill finished the year with a 25-15 record and a 1.66 ERA. Hill earned first-team All-Big 12 honors, as she ranked fourth in the league in ERA, second in starts (39), third in wins (25), innings (257.1), appearances (47) and complete games (27), fourth in strikeouts (185), fifth in shutouts (six), tied for sixth in saves (two) and ninth in opponent average (.225). Hill earned two pitcher-of-the-week awards as a senior while posting the fifth-most victories in school history and throwing the fifth-most innings. Hill allowed only seven home runs in 257.1 innings, including only two in Big 12 play when she threw 112.1 of a possible 123.2 innings. During the league slate, Hill posted a 9-7 record while posting a 1.56 ERA that led the league. Hill also ranked first in shuouts (three) and appearances (18), second in innings pitched (112.1), starts (17), complete games (13) and wins (9), fourth in opponent average (.228) in league-games only. Nationally, Hill ranked 26th in wins.

Junior Season [2008]
Hill suffered through a knee injury as a junior, missing nearly all of February ... earned one of 50 spots on USA Softball’s National Player of the Year watchlist ... finished the year with a 15-17 record, but won six of her final nine decisions ... posted a 2-2 mark against ranked teams in that span, including a 1-1 record against top-10 foes ... posted four double-digit strikeout games on the year, including a season-high 12 twice ... tossed a one-hitter, a pair of two-hitters and a trio of three-hitters ... pitched NU to its first win over a top-10 team in more than three years with a victory over No. 7 Oklahoma at the Big 12 Championship ... earned a spot on the all-tournament team by posting a 3-1 record ... was hurt by two-out runs throughout the season, as 40 percent of the runs she allowed crossed the plate with two outs (46 two-out runs out of 115 total runs allowed) ... posted a 12-6 record and a 2.03 ERA in non-conference action (including the Big 12 Championship) ... off the field, continued to carry a high cumulative GPA, while earning third-team CoSIDA Academic All-America honors.

Sophomore Season [2007]
Hill was 17-9 as a sophomore, posting a Big 12-low 1.05 ERA ... became just the second Husker hurler ever to lead the Big 12 in ERA, joining All-American and 2004 Big 12 Player of the Year Peaches James ... her 1.05 ERA ranked seventh nationally and was second to James’ as the lowest ERA by a Husker since 1991, a span that saw NU produce three All-America pitchers ... allowed one earned run or less in 21 of her 25 starts, including 21 of her last 23 ... allowed one earned run or less in each of her final 11 starts, a streak that included five games against ranked opponents with three starts against top-five teams ... was named to the All-Big 12 second team after posting a miniscule 1.24 ERA in league games only ... earned Big 12 Pitcher-of-the-Week honor (April 3) ... posted four double-digit strikeout games, including a season-high 14 ... tossed two one-hitters, three two-hitters and two three-hitters ... recorded three consecutive shutouts in April and came up just short of a fourth at No. 4 Texas A&M ... took a no-hitter into the eighth inning against the Aggies, but the only hit she allowed gave A&M a 1-0 extra-inning victory and snapped her career-high scoreless innings streak at 27.2 innings ... was perfect in 42 chances defensively.

Freshman Season [2006]
Hill was 18-2 in her first season, including a 17-2 mark as a starter ... notched best single-season winning percentage in school history (.900) ... tossed her only career no-hitter in a five-inning win against South Dakota State ... also threw a one-hitter, a two-hitter and two three-hitters ... finished with four double-digit strikeout performances, including a career-high 17 against Northern Colorado ... earned her first career victory and win over a ranked team in the first start of career by tossing a complete game against 15th-ranked Oregon State ... posted first Big 12 win against No. 18 Oklahoma in a 3-1 victory.

Before Nebraska
Hill is the Nebraska high school record-holder for single-season ERA (0.00) and strikeouts (543), as well as career no-hitters (28) and perfect games (10) ... was named a two-time captain of the Omaha World-Herald’s All-Nebraska team and also earned first-team Super State honors from the Lincoln Journal Star ... as a senior, went 33-0 with a 0.00 ERA to lead Wayne to the state title ... struck out 543 batters in only 222.0 innings ... faced 726 batters and allowed only 22 hits and 19 walks ... posted three perfect games in her prep career where she struck out all 21 batters.

Personal
The daughter of Kevin and Melody Hill, Molly Alta Hill has one brother, Jesse (18). Molly was born on April 6, 1987, in Bloomfield, Iowa. She is a speech-language pathology and audiology major.
