1998: Senior Season
Second-Team All-Big 12 Conference...Second-Team All-Midwest Region...Third-Team CoSIDA Academic All-American...First-Team CoSIDA Academic All-District VII...First-Team Academic All-Big 12...Nebraska Female Student-Athlete of the Year...started all 60 games at catcher...fourth on team with a .295 batting average...tallied 56 hits, six home runs, 31 RBIs and a .437 slugging percentage...had a .983 fielding percentage, committing only six errors all season behind the plate...her 31 RBIs ranked ninth in the Big 12...second on the team with 190 at-bats...ranked second on team with 299 putouts...finished her career seventh on Nebraska's all-time batting average list with a .320 career average...second all-time with 629 at-bats, 31 home runs and 137 RBIs ...third all-time with 214 games played, 201 hits and 329 total bases ...fourth all-time with 31 doubles.

1997: Junior Season
First-Team All-Big 12 Conference...First-Team All-Midwest Region...First-Team Academic All-Big 12...First-Team CoSIDA Academic All-District...NFCA Scholar Athlete...played every inning of all 53 games at catcher...became just the second Husker to hit 10-plus homers in two separate seasons (Ali Viola, 1995-96)....strong in conference play once again, Smith ranked in the top three in Big 12 play with a .517 on base percentage (third), four home runs (tied-first), 11 walks (first)...ranked 26th in NCAA with 19 home runs per game...led the Huskers with .980 fielding percentage...threw out 14 attempted base stealers...ranked second on the team with 34 RBIs, 89 total bases, 52 hits, 28 runs, 10 homers, 23 walks and six stolen bases...carried a team-high 14-game hitting streak during the height of Big 12 play from April 20-May 17...started slowly but finished with a flourish, hitting .371 (49-132) in her last 43 games...hitless in only eight of the final 43 games...recorded five RBIs against Northern Iowa on April 23 in a 2-for-4 performance.

1996: Sophomore Season
First-Team All-Big 12 Conference...First-Team All-Midwest Region...First-Team Academic All-Big 12...played in all 65 games primarily at catcher...batted .353 to rank second on the Husker squad and ninth all-time...ranked second on the team with 71 hits, two triples, 10 home runs, 54 RBIs, 116 total bases and .577 slugging percentage...with Ali Viola, became the first tandem on the same Husker team to have 10-plus homers in the same season...top defensive player statistically with a 1.000 fielding percentage in 272 chances...recorded a school-record seven RBIs in 4-for-4 performance against Kansas on April 6...came on strong in Big 12 play and led NU with a .500 batting average, including five home runs, five doubles and an .893 slugging percentage...led the Big 12 with 1.33 RBIs per game...ended Big 12 play ranked second in conference with a .500 batting average, 0.28 home runs per game and 1.56 hits per game...had a then-career-high nine-game hitting streak from April 13-22, hitting .433...hit .500 (7-14) against OSU on the season with five RBIs...finished her sophomore season ranked third in career batting average (.338), tied for fourth in career home runs (15) and third in career slugging percentage (.571).

1995: Freshman Season
Appeared in 36 games, starting 23 mostly at catcher...batted .297 with 22 hits, four doubles, five home runs and 18 RBIs...fifth on team in home runs and hit a homer once every 14.8 at bats, the best ratio on the team...had a .931 fielding percentage with four errors in 58 total chances..was 2-for-13 and scored two runs in Big Eight games...belted a home run in her first career at bat and was 2-for-2 with four RBIs in a 12-0 rout of Iowa State... went 2-for-4 against Creighton with a home run and three RBIs...had a season-high six-game hitting streak March 11-18, batting .412 in that span...was 2-for-2 in the NCAA Tournament, including Nebraska's lone homer of the tournament.

High School:
A two-time first-team All-Front Range Conference selection for Rocky Mountain High School...1993 honorable-mention all-state...outstanding student who earned three conference and two all-state all-academic awards...Rocky Mountain's most valuable defensive player as a freshman...lettered four years in softball, twice in basketball and once in swimming...posted a .345 batting average with 34 RBIs to help the Buckaroos, an ASA summer team, to their third straight state championship...played for the Boulder Valley Comets in 1994 and took fifth at the AFA nationals and seventh at the ASA nationals.
