2006 Season Outlook
Trisha Tannahill returns to anchor a talented Nebraska outfield in 2006. In her final season, Tannahill will again be an integral part of the Husker offense after earning All-Big 12 honors each of the past two seasons.

Tannahill rebounded from a slow start to the 2005 season to finish with a .275 average. She also showed the most power of her career, hitting a career-high three home runs, one more than her two-year total entering the season. Tannahill also showed patience at the plate, drawing 15 walks en route to posting a .347 on-base percentage.

Batting in the middle of the Huskers' order, Tannahill drove in 25 runs a season ago, including 13 two-out RBIs. She also finished with 14 extra-base hits and her proven production and added power have her poised to be one of the most potent bats in the lineup.

One of three seniors that hail from the state of Kansas, Tannahill is one of the most consistent Huskers, according to Coach Rhonda Revelle. That consistency, combined with Tannahill's increased power make her a prime candidate to hit third or fourth in the Husker lineup in 2006.

Besides being a power threat, Tannahill also brings good speed to a fast Nebraska team, as she was 23-of-27 on stolen bases the past two years. Tannahill's speed also helps her defensively, where she has been very solid. Her speed gives her great range to go along with a great arm, as Tannahill committed only three errors in 72 chances last season.

2005: Junior Season
Tannahill started every game in center field in 2005 and hit .275 with 25 RBIs ... went 4-for-9 with a double, two runs scored and two RBIs in the NCAA Tournament ... hit safely in a season-high five games from April 7 to April 14, going 10-for-16 with a home run and six RBIs over that stretch ... hit the second triple by a Husker against Northern Colorado on April 21 ... went 3-for-6 in the doubleheader against UNC ... hit her career-best third home run of the season against Iowa State on April 27 ... entered the season with only two career home runs ... drove in the game-winning run with a two-out double against Missouri on the final weekend of regular season ... had five game-winning RBIs, including three against ranked teams ... her nine doubles were second on the team and her 173 at bats also ranked second ... her three home runs ranked third on the team ... drew 15 walks to rank third on the team and was hit by five pitches to post an on-base percentage of .339 ... ranked fifth in single-season school history with five hit-by-pitches ... enjoyed an excellent stretch in the Huskers' four games the week of April 6 ... during that stretch produced two game-winning RBIs, including a grand slam at No. 9 Baylor in NU's 4-1 victory on April 9 ... her grand slam was the first of her career and her four RBIs tied a career high ... went 3-for-3 with two RBIs against North Dakota State on April 6, including the game-winning RBI ... also earned the game-winning RBI against 10th-ranked Oklahoma on April 30... drove in her first game-winning RBI of the season with a bases-loaded walk against Cal State Fullerton on March 19 ... recorded the 100th hit of her career against Wichita State on March 13 ... stole six bases in nine attempts ... an excellent outfielder, Tannahill committed three errors in 72 chances ... hit a career-high two doubles against New Mexico State on Feb. 20 ... had 14 multi-hit games, including two in the NCAA Tournament, to rank fifth on the team ... named academic All-Big 12 first team and to the All-Big 12 second team, her second career honor in each category.

2004: Sophomore Season
Tannahill was one of Nebraska's top all-around players in 2004, starting 60 games in left field ... was second on the team with 32 RBIs ... hit .300 ... proved to be a clutch player, as she led the team with nine game-winning RBIs ... ranked 10th in the Big 12 in doubles, fifth in RBIs and 11th in average ... in Big 12 games only, Tannahill was third in the conference with 12 RBIs ... had a career-high six-game hitting streak April 3-10 ... was second on the team in doubles (nine) and RBIs (32) ... was 17-for-18 in stolen bases ... was perfect in left field in 49 chances ... had a career-high four hits against Penn State on March 13 ... was named to the Florida State Invitational All-Tournament team after going 10-for-18 with a double, triple, home run, five runs scored and eight RBIs ... had a career-high four hits in a 4-for-4, three-RBI game against Penn State on March 13 ... had the game-winning RBI in all three of the Huskers' games on March 13 ... was named first-team All-Big 12 as well as second-team academic All-Big 12 team.

2003: Freshman Season
Tannahill provided depth in the outfield as a freshman, starting 12 games in right field and one in left field ... a clutch hitter, Tannahill saw action as the designated player 17 times ... hit .290 with four doubles and a home run ... was the designated player in the NCAA Tournament, where she hit .316 ... had a season-high three hits and four runs batted in against Pacific May 16 ... led Nebraska at the Kia Klassic March 13-14, hitting .500 (5-for-10) with a double and a home run ... the home run against Notre Dame was the first of her career.

High School
Tannahill earned numerous accolades while playing center field for Coach Jeff Hulse and leading Olathe East to an 85-10 four-year record ... was a three-time first-team All-Kansas City Metro selection by the Kansas City Star, a three-time first-team All-Johnson County pick and a three-time All-Sunflower League honoree ... was named the 2001 Kansas Gatorade Player of the Year after leading Olathe East to the 6A Kansas state championship ... hit .667 (6-for-9) at the 2001 state tournament with a .972 slugging percentage ... was a 2002 first-team high school All-American by Student Sports Magazine ... played ASA ball for the Kansas City Peppers and Coach Dan Eakin, helping the team to a 177-49 record in three seasons ... competed for the Peppers’ 2001 squad that finished third at ASA Nationals ... guided the Peppers to a 61-24 ASA Gold record in 2002, while leading the team in batting average (.403), hits (83), triples (eight), doubles (13) and on-base percentage (.495) ... played on the Peppers’ 2002 team that finished first in the USSSA Class A World Series ... was named to the USSSA All-World team and earned most valuable offensive player honors ... was a member of the National Honor Society and received recognition from Who’s Who Among American High School Seniors.
