18 Baseball Players Tabbed Academic All-Big Ten

The Nebraska baseball team produced 18 Academic All-Big Ten selections, announced by the conference on Wednesday.

Four Huskers – Joe Acker, Connor Curry, Luke Roskam and Paul Tillotson – each received Academic All-Big Ten honors for the third time. Curry earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from Nebraska in May. Acker, a finance major, and Roskam, a criminology and criminal justice major, each played in all 15 games of the shortened 2020 season. Tillotson, a mechanical engineering major, made five relief appearances on the mound and earned a team-high two saves.

Six Huskers earned the accolade for the second time, including Carter Cross, Mojo Hagge, Jaxon Hallmark, Gunner Hellstrom, Max Schreiber and Gareth Stroh.

Nebraska's first-time honorees are Mike Addante, Bo Blessie, Cam Chick, Drew Gilin, Trey Kissack, Aaron Palensky, Ty Roseberry and Spencer Schwellenbach.

To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, students must be on a varsity team, as verified by being on the official squad list as of March 12 for spring sports, who have been enrolled fulltime at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
