The Huskers go for the series win tonight, as they take on Kansas at 11 a.m. in the first game of a doubleheader. Saturday's game was postponed because of thunderstorms, marking the fifth time in seven Big 12 weekends the Huskers have played a weather-related twinbill.

Kansas extends the lead to 9-4 with three runs in the bottom of the the eighth, as the Huskers will need to score at least five runs to keep the game alive.

The Huskers load the bases in the eighth, but Travis Blankenship gets Kyle Bubak to ground out to end the threat. KU leads 6-4 after seven and a half innings of play

Kansas comes right back with three runs in the bottom of the seventh, all coming with two outs to regain the lead at 6-4 on James Stanfield's two-run single

Nebraska regains the lead in the back-and-forth game, as Kyle Bubak drives in Kale Kiser with the tying run but Bubak's single with past center fielder Jason Brunansky, allowing him to score on a three-base hit.

Buck Afenir's sacrifice fly to center put the Jayhawks up 3-2 after six complete innings Yost allows three runs - two earned - on four hits over a career-high 5.1 innings of work.
