After two days of rain and snow, Nebraska and Oklahoma will finally begin their three-game series with a doubleheader this afternoon at 1 p.m. Both of today's games will be carried on the IMG Husker Sports Network, including KLIN 1400 AM in Lincoln, KRVN 880 AM in Lexington and KFAB 1110 AM in Omaha.
8:32 p.m.
The Sooners load the bases in the ninth, but Nesseth strikes out Matt Haraughty to end the doubleheader and preserve NU's 11-9 win
8:19 p.m.
The Huskers are retired in order in the ninth,as Nebraska leads 11-9.
8:15 p.m.
Oklahoma cuts the Husker lead to 11-9, but the Huskers use a pair of web gems from Boomer Collins and Jeff Tezak to preserve the Huskers lead. We are going to the ninth with Tezak leading off for the Huskers.
8:06 p.m.
Nebraska extends the lead to 11-8 after an RBI single from Boomer Collins in the top of the eighth.
7:52 p.m.
Oklahoma is now within 10-8, but Nesseth gets the Huskers out of a major jam by striking out Ross Hubbard to end the seventh. Top of the order due up for the Huskers in the eighth.
7:37 p.m.
Oklahoma cuts the Husker lead to 10-6 in the seventh and Mike Nesseth is now on to pitch for the Huskers
7:31 p.m.
C.J. Blue retires the Huskers in order in the seventh and its stretch time in Norman with NU leading 10-5.

Michael Mariot comes out of the pen and fires a scoreless sixth to keep the Huskers ahead 10-5

Nebraska doubles up the Sooners, getting a two-run double from Tyler Farst to take a 10-5 lead afrer five and a half innings. Michael Mariot now on to pitch for Roualdes, who threw 102 pitches over five innings of work

Oklahoma draws closer, scoring twice on RBI singles by Matt Harughty and Bryant Hernandez to get within 8-5 after five innings

Nebraska scores three times to take an 8-3 lead after RBI singles from Tyler Farst and Nick Sullivan and a run-scoring double from Cody Asche, who has driven in a season-high four runs.

The Huskers turn a sterling 6-4-3 DP and escape the fourth inning without any damage and lead 5-3

Seng gets OU out of trouble in the fourth, as Nebraska leads 5-3 after three and half innings.

Nebraska strikes for three rus in the top of the fourth to chase OU starter Michael Rocha, including back-to-back homers from Cody Asche and Jed Hanson, the first back-to-back shots for the Huskers since May of 2007, Tyson Seng is now pitching for OU

Roualdes keeps the Sooners of the scoreboard in the bottom of the third, as the Huskers look to overcome a 3-2 defict.
5:59 p.m.
The lead was short-lived, as back-to-back homers by J.T. Wise and Garrett Buechele gave the Sooners a 3-2 lead. NU hit three hard balls in the third, but was not rewarded as Rocha put the Huskers down in order. It is the first time OU hit consecutive homers since 2006.
5:43 p.m.
Nebraska gets its first lead of the afternoon after scoring two runs in the top of the second, getting an RBI triple from Nick Sullivan to plate Tyler Farst before scoring moments later on Cody Asche's grounder to second.
5:34 p.m.
Oklahoma scored once in the bottom of the first, but the arm of Jed Hanson prevented more damage, as he gunned down a pair of runners trying to steal in the bottom of the first.

The Huskers threaten in the first, getting two runners on, but an inning-ending double play squelched the Husker rally. Oklahoma coming to bat in the bottom of the first.

The Huskers will need to mount a large comeback to stay in the game, as Oklahoma put up three runs in the bottom of the eighth to extend its lead to 12-7.

Nebraska continues to climb back, as Boomer Collins launches a two-run, pinch-hit homer to pull the Huskers within 9-7. NU got the tying run to the plate, but OU closer Ryan Duke came out of the bullpen to retire the first two hitters he faced to get out of the eighth.

Kash Kalkowski works a shutout seventh inning, and Nebraska remains within striking distance, trailing 9-5 after seven innings

Nebraska pulls closer in the top of the seventh, getting a homer from DJ Belfonte and a triple from Kyle Bubak to get within 9-5 heading into the bottom of the seventh.

The crowd is aplit about 50-50 today, as a good contingent of Husker fans made the trip to Norman, including a bus from the Husker Home Run Club who drove down Saturday morning. Many of the OU fans are more concerned the MBB game against North Carolina later today and the women's NCAA Regional in Oklahoma City.
