After a two-week break, the No. 2 Nebraska bowling team is back and action this weekend at the Holiday Classic in Birmingham, Ala. The two-day tournament, held at Holiday Bowl Fun Center, began today at 10 a.m. with six team games and will resume on Sunday, March 1, at 8 a.m. with another six team games.
Nebraska competes against 15 other teams at the Holiday Classic, including No. 1 Vanderbilt.
Eight Huskers made the trek to the tournament, including juniors Cassandra Leuthold and Kaleena Henning, sophomores Kayla Stram, Jasmine Laugerman and Katie Ann Sopp, and freshmen Danielle van der Meer and Valerie Calberry.
The Huskers have one regular season tournament before the NCAA Championships on April 9-11 in Detroit, Mich.
