Huskers Finish Fourth at Drake Relays/Jack D. Wallace Memorial

Des Moines, Iowa -- The Nebraska men's golf team completed the Drake Relays/Jack D. Wallace Memorial Monday in fourth place with a three-round score of 905. The squad used a score of 295 in the final round to improve from Sunday's fifth-place standing, and posting its 4th top-five finish of the year.

Indian Hills claimed the title with a score of 878 over 54 holes, while Jay Giannetto fired three consecutive rounds of 71 to receive individual honors.

For the Huskers, junior Kevin Bryson carded rounds of 71, 75 and 73 for a total 219, finishing the competition in a tie for third, a career-best finish. Junior Jim Troy used a 225 over three rounds to finish tied for 12th, while senior Blake Humbles shot a 72 on the day to tie for 20th place with a 228. With a 54-hole total of 237, junior J.J. Sullivan tied for 35th, while sophomore Chris Hartwig shot a 245 to tie for 50th. Senior Andy McCabe, an individual competitor in the tournament, tied for eighth with a score of 224.

The Huskers will return to the links for the Big 12 Championship on April 29-30 in Hutchinson, Kans.
