The Nebraska men's golf team fired a 327 during the final round of the USD Invitational at the Del Mar Country Club on Tuesday to finish in ninth place with a team score of 939.
Junior Jim Troy led the way for the Huskers, finishing in a 10th-place tie, after shooting a three-round total of 226, after firing a final-round 79.
The squad carded rounds of 303, 309 and 327 to conclude the competition two strokes ahead of 10th place San Francisco. San Diego State took home the team championship with a total team score of 882 over 54 holes.
Blake Humbles shot rounds of 71, 75 and 88 to tie for 35th place. JJ Sullivan tallied a 78 to finish in a tie for 46th place, while Kevin Bryson carded a 82 for a 61st-place finish. Rounding out the Huskers' scoring was Chris Hartwig, who shot a three-round score of 256 for an 84th -place finish.
