Sophomore (Nebraska, 2026-27)
Kaleigh Babineaux kicked off her second season as a Husker with one of the best performances of her young career at The Bruzzy presented by Ashley Herrera (Sept. 8-9).

Freshman (Nebraska, 2025-26)
Babineaux was one of Nebraska’s top performers in 2025-26, producing the second-best stroke average (73.15) in history by a Husker freshman over 27 rounds. She also notched seven top-25 finishes, including six straight in the middle of the season.

Babineaux posted her most recent top-25 showing at the Chevron Silverado Showdown (April 6-8), where she tied for 21st, firing a 69 (-3) in the first round on the 6,146-yard layout of the North Course at the Silverado Country Club in Napa, Calif., to open the tournament. She carded a 71 (-1) and 78 (+6) in the second and third rounds to close the event with a three-round total of 218 (+2).

At the MSU SoCal Spring Invitational (March 8-10), Babineaux tied for 16th with a 54-hole total of 221 (+8) that included back-to-back rounds of 72 (+1) on the 5,900-yard layout of the Sterling Hills Golf Club in Camarillo, Calif., to close the tournament. She helped the Huskers to their first team title since a win at the 2023 Westbrook Spring Invitational.

Babineaux’s effort in California followed a career-best tie for sixth with fellow freshman Ailis Tribolet at the 2026 Westbrook Spring Invitational (Feb. 22-23). Babineaux’s performance in Peoria, Ariz., included a career-best three-round total of 207 (-9). She opened with a career-best 67 (-5) on the 6,293-yard layout of the Vistas Course at Westbrook Village.

Her effort in Arizona helped her share Big Ten Freshman-of-the-Week honors with Tribolet (Feb. 26).

Babineaux opened the spring with a tie for 17th at the UCF Challenge - presented by PDI in Orlando (Jan. 25-27). She managed three rounds of even-par 72 on the 6,392-yard layout at Eagle Creek Golf Club, finishing with an even-par 216 over 54 holes.

She followed with a tie for 21st at 227 (+11) in the Texas Golf Showdown at The Woodlands (Feb. 16-17). Babineaux was Nebraska’s No. 3 finisher.

Babineaux tied for 50th at the MountainView Collegiate (March 20-22), where she opened with an even-par 72. She followed with a second-round 77 (+5) and carded a final-round 74 (+2) on the par-72, 6,405-yard layout of the Preserve Golf Club at Saddlebrooke in Tucson, Ariz. She finished at 223 (+7).

Babineaux kicked off her college career by competing as an individual outside the Husker lineup at the Sam Golden Invitational (Sept. 8-9). She closed  with a three-round total of 219 (+3) that included a second-round 71 (-1) on the 6,343-yard layout of the Oakmont Country Club in Corinth, Texas. 

Her performance helped her earn a lineup spot at the Colonel Wollenberg Ptarmigan Ram Invitational, where she tied for 24th as Nebraska’s No. 3 finisher at 147 (+3) in the rain-shortened tournament. Babineaux opened with a 75 (+3) before posting an impressive even-par 72 in challenging conditions to close the second round. The final round was canceled.

At the Big Ten Championship (April 24-26), Babineaux carded an opening-round 79 (+9) at the Oakmont Country Club in Glendale, Calif.

Before Nebraska
As a senior at Lake Travis High School in Austin, Texas, Babineaux qualified for the Notah Begay III Junior Golf National Championships by winning the Southern Texas Regional after a two-hole playoff.  She went on to win the Foresight Sports Long Drive Challenge prior to the event, before tying for 19th at the championship with a 225 (+9), including an even-par 72 in the opening round at Koasati Pines at Coushatta in Kinder, La. (Nov. 3-5).

She finished 15th at the UIL Region IV-6A Championship as a senior in 2025, after taking runner-up honors at the District 26-6A tournament earlier in the spring.

As a junior at Lake Travis, Babineaux tied for 16th at the UIL Region IV-6A Championship in the spring.

She spent her first two seasons at Cherokee Trail High School in Aurora, Colo., finishing eighth as a sophomore at the Class 5A state tournament. Babineaux was also the Class 5A Northern Regional Champion as a sophomore in 2023, firing a 66 (-4) at Flatirons Golf Course as the only player to break par.

In the summer of 2023, she was a semifinalist at the Colorado Golf Association Girls Match Play, losing to eventual champion and Colorado signee Brenna Higgins.

In the classroom, she earned second-team Academic All-State honors from the Texas High School Coaches Association in 2025.

Personal
The daughter of Jason and Kim Babineaux, Kaleigh has a brother, Parker. A strong performer in the classroom, Kaleigh is majoring in PGA Golf Management at Nebraska. She was a WGCA Scholastic All-American in 2026 and earned a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall of 2025. She was also a member of the 2026 Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.
