Sophomore (2017-18)
Nebraska's first-ever golfer from Thailand and one of the youngest Huskers to ever take the course, Annie Sritragul showed significant improvement on the course as a sophomore after a strong freshman campaign.
Sritragul opened her sophomore season with her second career top-10 finish by tying for ninth at the UNO Invitational at ArborLinks in Nebraska City, Sept. 1-2. Sritragul finished with a three-round total of 229 (76-73-80) as Nebraska's No. 4 individual finisher at the event.
Sritragul continued to show her improvement by taking fourth in a loaded field of stroke play at the 2017 East & West Match Play Challenge in Madison, Wis. In 36 holes of stroke play on Sept. 17, Sritragul opened with a career-best, two-under-par 70, before adding an even-par 72 in the second round. It marked her first career top-five finish and her second straight top-10 effort to open the season.
She added a third consecutive top-10 finish to open her sophomore season by finishing seventh among 54 players at Nebraska's Chip-N Club Invitational. Sritragul entered the final round in second place before sliding slightly in the standings over the last 18 holes, despite posting a then-career-best three-round tournament score of 225 (75-72-78).
Sritragul added a then-career-best 222 (72-73-77) in 54 holes at the Pinehurst Challenge in North Carolina, Oct. 9-10. She finished in a tie for 49th in a 19-team field at Pinehurst. She closed the fall with a career-best 221 (73-76-72) to tie for 33rd in a 96-player field at the UNLV Collegiate Showdown, Oct. 22-24. Sritragul was Nebraska's top individual finisher at UNLV.
Sritragul closed the fall season with a 74.21 stroke average through 14 rounds to rank No. 2 among the Huskers.
She struggled to open the spring campaign with a 247 to tie for 60th in three rounds at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic (Feb. 11-13), before bouncing back to tie her career best with a 221 (72-74-75) at the Westbrook Spring Invitational in Peoria, Ariz., Feb. 25-26. She continued to play well by tying for 18th with a 223 (76-73-74) at the Clover Cup in Mesa, Ariz., March 16-18.
Sritragul finished third among the Huskers with her 75.90 stroke average on the season. She managed a three-round total of 236 (86-77-73) to tie for 68th at the Mountain View Invitational in Tucson, Ariz., March 23-25, before closing the year in a tie for 70th with a 235 (76-83-76) at the Big Ten Championships, April 20-22.
She capped the season with Nebraska's No. 3 individual stroke average (75.90), which was nearly two strokes better per round than her freshman campaign.
Off the course, Sritragul earned WGCA Scholastic All-America honors and was a two-time Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll. She was also a member of the 2017 Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.
Freshman (2016-17)
Sritragul made an immediate impact on Nebraska’s lineup as a true freshman in 2016-17. She continued to improve throughout the season and tied teammate Audrey Judd for Nebraska's second-best individual performance at the 2017 Big Ten Championships at TPC River's Bend in Maineville, Ohio, April 21-23. Sritragul finished her first conference tournament with a three-round total of 236 (79-77-80) to tie for 49th individually.
Her effort in Ohio allowed her to close her freshman campaign with a 77.86 stroke average while competing in all 28 rounds for the Huskers on the year. Her stroke average ranked eighth in school history among Nebraska freshmen, and she will enter her sophomore season with the 18th-best career stroke average in Husker history.
The youngster from Bangkok, who did not celebrate her 17th birthday until after Nebraska's Chip-N Club Invitational to close September, posted her first career top-10 finish by tying for eighth (72-74-146) at the East & West Match Play Challenge in Ann Arbor, Mich., Sept. 18-20.
She added a tie for 43rd (81-79-78-238) at the Chip-N Club Invite, Sept. 25-27. Sritragul produced the best three-round tournament score of her young career with a 234 (78-85-71) at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate in Highlands Ranch, Colo., Oct. 7-9. Her effort in Colorado included a season-best one-under-par 71 in the final round, while playing as an individual outside the Husker lineup. She matched her then-career-best tournament total with a 234 (79-80-75) at the Westbrook Spring Invitational in Peoria, Ariz., Feb. 26-27.
Sritragul continued to show her improvement by firing the best three-round tournament score of the season with a 226 (78-74-74) at the Clover Cup in Mesa, Ariz., March 17-19. Sritragul's rounds of 74 in the second and third rounds were Nebraska's third and fourth best rounds of the tournament, as she tied for second among the Huskers overall in a tie for 42nd in a loaded field.
She closed the regular season by tying for 48th (84-74-74-232) as Nebraska's No. 3 finisher at the Hawkeye El Tigre in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, April 2-4.
Sritragul closed the fall with a two-round total of 150 (74-76) at the rain-shortened Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown, Oct. 23-25. She tied for 84th in a loaded 105-player field in Las Vegas.
Sritragul opened her collegiate career by finishing 84th (83-78-83-244) at the Ptarmigan Ram Classic in Fort Collins, Colo., Sept. 12-13.
She opened the spring campaign as Nebraska's No. 3 finisher at the Central District Invitational in Port St. Lucie, Fla. Sritragul closed the 54-hole event at 240 (81-72-77) to tie for 59th in a 75-player field.
Off the course, Sritragul earned her first selection to the WGCA All-America Scholar team in 2017. She also claimed spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall and spring semesters of 2016-17. She was also a member of the 2017 Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.
High School/Amateur
Sritragul put up her most impressive performance with a tie for third at the 2015 Izod AJGA Girls Championship. Her three-round score of 213 included an opening-round 66 on Aug. 18, at the Club at Irish Creek in Kannapolis, N.C. She added a tie for third (228) at the JoS A. Bank/David Leadbetter Girls Championships, Aug. 4-6, at the Cattail Creek Country Club in Glenwood, Md.
She also tied for 10th (235) at the Junior at The Foundry, Aug. 12-13, in Powhatan, Va., after tying for 12th (238) at the Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy Boston Junior at the Cyprian Keyes Golf Club in Boylston, Mass., July 21-23.
In 2014, Sritragul produced a tie for fourth with a 212 (72-73-67) at the Lessing’s Classic, Aug. 4-7, and added 2014 PGA Junior Series victories in Ohio and Kentucky.
In June of 2015, Sritragul finished eighth in the Girls 15-20 division at the Singha Junior Golf Championship on the 6,343-yard layout at Northern Rungsit in Ayutthawa, Thailand.
Personal
The daughter of Khunthuat Sae Khow Monthathip Sritragul, Annie (Pasinee) was born Sept. 28, 1999, in Bangkok. She has an older brother, Pasit, and an older sister, Paveenuch. Annie has not declared a major, but she was a WGCA All-American Scholar in 2017 and 2018. She was a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and earned academic All-Big Ten honors in 2018. She was a four-time member of the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll. She was a member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team in 2017 and 2018.
