Senior (2006-07)

Andrea Carlson (Dunagan) contributed to Nebraska’s success during her final season on the course for the Huskers.

The fifth-year senior from Grand Island, Neb., posted a trio of top-35 individual finishes during the fall season, including a career-best tie for 14th while playing as an unattached individual at the Bronco Invitational in Idaho.

Carlson’s performance at the Bronco Invite included a career-best-tying 74 in the opening round, along with a second-round 75 and a final round 79 to finish with a career-best 228 tournament score.

She added a tie for 33rd (248) in Nebraska’s Chip-N Club Invitational win and a tie for 35th (242) at the Wildcat Invitational.

Carlson closed her senior season with an 80.25 stroke average. Along with her contributions on the course, Carlson was a standout in the classroom for the Huskers. She earned first-team academic All-Big 12 honors and claimed spots on the Big 12 Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll after both the fall and spring semesters, before graduating from Nebraska in May.

Junior (2005-06)
Carlson posted a pair of top-20 finishes in her only appearances of the year. She tied for 20th (237) and matched her career-low with a 74 in the second round at the Chip-N Club Invitational, Sept. 26-27.

She competed as an individual and tied for 19th (249) at the Baja Invitational, Feb. 13-14.

Sophomore (2004-05)
Carlson placed in a tie for 22nd at the Chip-N Club Invitational, finishing with a score of 251 (85-83-83). In her best showing of the season, Carlson shot a season-low 80 in round one of the Mountain View Collegiate on March 26-27 in Tucson, Ariz. Her final score of 243 at the Mountain View Collegiate was also a season-low.

Carlson also won the 2004 Nebraska Women's State Match Play Championship.

Redshirt Freshman (2003-04)
After redshirting in her first year at Nebraska in 2002-03, Carlson tied for 15th at the Chip-N Club Invitational and posted a low round of 78 twice. Carlson opened the season by tying for 43rd at the Embassy Suites/Tyson Invitational, which included a career-low 74 in the second round. She also competed at the Highlands Ranch Intercollegiate.

High School/Amateur
Carlson was a two-time Lincoln Journal Star Super-State selection at Grand Island High School. As a senior, she won the Class A individual title after claiming runner-up honors as a junior. She set seven and tied three other Islander records in her career. In 2002 Carlson medaled in the Nebraska Girls Junior Match Play tournament.

Personal
The daughter of Tim and Cheryl Dunagan, Andrea has two brothers, Brian (25) and Ben (27). Andrea was born on Aug. 18, 1983. Carlson was a middle grades education major and graduated with better than a 3.2 GPA. She earned her undergraduate degree from Nebraska in May of 2007. She was married to Casey Carlson in July of 2006.
