Senior (2005-06)
Chelsea Gehring closed her five-year Nebraska career with three solid tournament showings as a senior. She tied for 16th at the Baja Invitational (248) to open the spring season, after opening the year with a tie for 28th (241) at Nebraska's own Chip-N Club Invitational. She saw her only other action on the year by posting a season-best 233 to tie for 31st at the Marilynn Smith/Sunflower Invitational in early October.

For the season she posted an 80.22 stroke average over nine rounds, closing her career with an 80.54 average over 37 rounds.

In addition to her contributions on the course, Gehring was a star in the classroom for the Huskers. She earned her bachelor's degree in horticulture from Nebraska with better than a 3.9 grade-point average. She earned NGCA Scholastic All-America honors following her junior season in 2005 and was a two-time academic All-Big 12 performer.

Junior (2004-05)
Gehring continued to shave strokes off her swing and recorded an 80.35 average while playing her most productive season at Nebraska.

Earning the best finish of her career in the opening tournament, Gehring placed sixth at the Chip-N Club Invitational, Sept. 19-20 in Lincoln. She also shot a career-best 73 in the second round, recording a final score of 236. Gehring's lowest tournament of the season was a season-best 234 at the Price's "Give 'Em Five" Invite, Oct. 4-5 at Las Cruces, N. M.

In the classroom, Gehring earned NGCA Scholastic All-America accolades and claimed the first academic All-Big 12 recognition of her career.

Sophomore (2003-04)
Gehring cut 3.92 shots off her stroke average from her redshirt freshman to sophomore season, finishing 2003-04 with an 82.75 average in eight rounds. She posted a season-low first-round 79 at the Highlands Ranch Intercollegiate to tie for a season-best 23rd (79-80-159). She also competed in the Chip-N Club Invitational in the fall, along with the Baylor-Tapatio Springs Shootout.

Gehring played in one tournament, the Chip-N Club Invitational, compiling an 86.67 scoring average.

High School/Amateur
A four-year letterwinner at Aberdeen Central High School, Gehring was a four-time qualifier for the South Dakota 2A State Championship. She finished second as a senior to lead Aberdeen Central to a fourth-place team finish. As a junior, Gehring took third at state, just one stroke behind the medalist, after winning the Region 3A title. She added a fifth-place effort as a sophomore and a 15th-place showing as a freshman.

Personal
The daughter of Rick and Crystle Gehring, Chelsea Lynne was born on Oct. 19, 1982. She has two younger sisters, Stephanie and Kaitlyn. Chelsea earned a bachelor's degree in horticulture from Nebraska after carrying better than a 3.9 GPA throughout her collegiate career. She earned NGCA Scholastic All-America honors in 2005 and was a two-time academic All-Big 12 selection.
