Sophomore (1998-99)
Susie Kiene missed much of her sophomore season with the Huskers because of a stress fracture in her leg, which required surgery and the insertion of a pin to assist the healing process. She did not compete for NU as a sophomore and she did not continue her career at Nebraska following the 1998-99 season.

Redshirt Freshman (1997-98)
A Lincoln native, Kiene competed in 15 rounds for the Huskers as a redshirt freshman in 1997-98. She earned the only lineup spot of her career at the Big 12 Fall Preview, where she tied for 48th at 251 (80-85-86). For the season she posted an 80.00 stroke average, including a career-best 73. She managed a pair of top-20 tournament finishes, including a career-best eighth-place showing at the Colorado Invitational, where she carded her 73 on her way to a career-best tournament score of 226.

Off the course, Kiene earned academic All-Big 12 honors.

Freshman (1996-97)
Kiene redshirted in her first season at Nebraska.

High School/Amateur
Kiene graduated at the top of her 552-member class with a perfect grade-point average at Lincoln High School. She earned runner-up honors at the state championships her senior year and was the district champion her junior and senior years. She was named the Top Female Scholar Athlete in 1995-96, and was named to the Honor Roll of Athletes.

Personal
The daughter of Ken and Maggie Kiene, Susan was born Aug. 27, 1978. She was an exercise science major at Nebraska and earned academic All-Big 12 honors in 1998.
