Senior (1998-99)
Gretchen Doerr closed her four-year Nebraska career by playing in 14 rounds for the Huskers in 1998-99. The Menlo Park, Calif., native finished the year with an 80.86 stroke average. During nine fall rounds, Doerr posted a 78.55 stroke average. She competed in NU's lineup at the Chip-N Club Invitational where she tied for 21st individually with a 231 (76-76-79), and also made a lineup appearance at the Casa de Campo Invitational in the spring, tying for 55th (81-83-91).

Junior (1997-98)
Doerr posted a career-best 225 at the Colorado Invitational, firing rounds of 74 and 75 to tie for sixth place individually while helping the Huskers to the team title. For the season, she competed in 23 rounds for the Huskers and posted an 80.09 stroke average. She managed a pair of top-20 individual finishes and fired a career-best 72.

Sophomore (1996-97)
Doerr competed in 14 rounds as a sophomore, finishing with an 84.29 season stroke average. She managed one top-10 tournament finish with a ninth-place showing at the Lady Lion Invitational, where she managed a season-best round of 77 to finish at 245. At the Big 12 Fall Preview, Doerr added solid rounds of 78-82-81 to tie for 38th with a season-best 241. She slumped later in the fall season and saw limited action for NU during the spring campaign.

Freshman (1995-96)
The only freshman on the Huskers' 1995-96 roster, Doerr played in four of Nebraska's final six tournaments of the season. Overall, she competed in 14 rounds and finished the year with an 84.57 stroke average. She tied for 45th with a season-best 245 at the Utah-Dixie Classic, which included a season-best 80 in the final round. She added a first-round 80 at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational.

High School/Amateur
Doerr won the 1994 California Junior Girls State Championships and took runner-up honors at the 1995 Northern California High School Championships. She competed heavily on the California Junior Tour while attending St. Francis High School in Menlo Park, Calif.

Personal
The daughter of Richard and Kit Doerr, Gretchen was born Sept. 5, 1977. She was an economics major at Nebraska and earned honorable-mention academic All-Big Eight honors in 1996.
