Sophomore (1995-96)
Schuler returned to health following season-ending ankle surgery in 1994-95, but she did not earn a spot in Nebraska's top five during the course of the 1995-96 season. She did compete in three rounds as an unattached individual, posting an 84.00 stroke average.

She did not return to the team following the 1995-96 season, closing her NU career as a two-time letterwinner (1994, 1996).

Redshirt Season (1994-95)
Schuler suffered ligament damage in her ankle which required surgery. She took a redshirt season in her second year with the Huskers.

Freshman (1993-94)
Nebraska's first women's golf recruit from the state of Arizona, Schuler competed in 18 rounds as a freshman. She posted an 82.22 season stroke average that included a final-round 73 at the 1993 Husker Classic to lift her to a career-best seventh place. Schuler also posted Nebraska's top finish at the Memphis Women's Intercollegiate, tying for 28th.

High School/Amateur
Schuler competed on the Thunderbird High School boys golf team in Phoenix, Ariz., because her school did not offer girls golf. She played out of the No. 4 or No. 5 position for most of her high school career. She also played on the Arizona Junior Tour, placing second at the state tournament her senior season.

The daughter of Rick and Cindy Schuler, Sonia was born May 14, 1975.
