Senior (1990-91)
Melissa Busskohl closed her career as a four-year letterwinner for Nebraska by competing in 14 rounds as a senior. She produced an 87.0 stroke average that included a season-best three-round total of 251 to tie for 14th at the Husker Invitational. She added a season-best 82 in the opening round of the South Carolina Women's Invitational.

She was one of two seniors on the 1990-91 NU roster, joining Alysen Madsen. Busskohl tied for 28th (170) at the Cyclone Golf Classic, while adding a tie for 33rd (268) at the Minnesota Invitational. The finished 96th at the Lady Buckeye Fall Classic, before tying for 53rd (253) in South Carolina.

A native of Norfolk, Neb., Busskohl was a three-time academic All-Big Eight selection, claiming first-team honors in 1989 and second-team accolades in 1990 and 1991.

Junior (1989-90)
Busskohl earned her third letter for the Huskers and competed in her first Big Eight Championships appearance. She closed in a tie for 27th individually at the Big Eight Tournament with a season-best three-round total of 256 (88-83-85), as her second- and third-round scores counted toward Nebraska's team total.

Busskohl notched her best finish of the year by taking 24th at the Mizzou Invitational with a 169 over two rounds. She tied for 50th (267) at the Hawkeye Invitational, before tying for 56th at the Spartan Fall Invitational. Nebraska captured team titles in all three regular-season tournaments in which Busskohl competed.

Overall she played 11 rounds for the Huskers as a junior and finished with 87.3 stroke average that included a season-best 83 in the second round of the Big Eight Championships.

She earned second-team academic All-Big Eight honors.

Sophomore (1988-89)
Busskohl played a career-high 15 rounds for the Huskers in her third year at Nebraska. She posted a career-best 82.7 stroke average on the season, which included a final-round 78 at the U.S. International Invitational to match her career best. She added a career-best three-round tournament total of 242 at the Utah-Dixie Classic to finish in a tie for 34th. She tied for 31st (252) at the Rainbow Wahine Classic, before finishing 16th (252) at the Husker Classic.

Off the course, Busskohl captured first-team academic All-Big Eight honors.

Redshirt Freshman (1987-88)
In her first season of competition, Busskohl competed in eight rounds for the Huskers and posted an 85.3 stroke average. She established her career best with a 78 in the second round of the North Texas Lady Eagle, and added a season best with a three-round total of 247 at the Nebraska Invitational. During the fall campaign, she competed at the BYU Invitational (272).

Redshirt (1986-87)
Busskohl redshirted in her first season at Nebraska.

High School/Amateur
A Norfork High School graduate, Busskohl reached the finals of the 1988 Nebraska State Match Play championship.

Personal
The daughter of Doug and Sherry Busskohl, Melissa was born March 24, 1968. A physical education major at Nebraska, Busskohl was a three-time academic All-Big Eight selection, including a first-team honor in 1989. She was also a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority.
