Redshirt Freshman (1990-91)
A native of Loup City, Neb., Becky Young earned a varsity letter as a redshirt freshman for the Huskers in 1990-91. Young competed in the 1991 Husker Golf Classic in the spring, posting a three-round score of 275, which included a best round of 87. She finished 23rd as an individual. She did not return to the team following the 1990-91 season.

High School/Amateur
An outstanding all-around athlete at Loup City High School, Young was an honorable-mention all-state and three-time all-conference basketball player. She was also a two-time all-conference volleyball player. She was also named Loup City's Senior Athlete of the Year. She was also involved in band, speech, FCA and the National Honor Society. She was a team captain on the golf course and was a member of Nebraska's Four-State team in the summer of 1989.

The daughter of Gerald and Charlene Young, Becky was born Sept. 24, 1971. She began her career as a broadcasting major at Nebraska.
