Senior (1989-90)
A four-year letterwinner for the Huskers, Nodjya Cook was a consistent contributor throughout her Nebraska career. She produced an 84.92 stroke average over 73 rounds in her career. Cook competed in 15 rounds as a senior and posted an 84.3 stroke average that included two season-best rounds of 78 and a season-best tournament score of 241 at the Hawkeye Invitational when she tied for 12th individually. She matched her season-best with a second-round 78 at the Lady Buckeye Fall Classic. She finished 22nd at the North/South Women's Collegiate Invitational, and also competed at the Spartan Fall Invitational and the All-College Kickoff.
Junior (1988-89)
Cook played 17 rounds for the Huskers as a junior, managing season-best rounds of 79 on four occasions. She fired two rounds of 79 to close the Husker Classic with a career-best 239 in eighth place while playing as an individual. She posted her first 79 of the year in the second round of the USF Summerfield Classic when she finished in a tie for 29th at 248. She added a tie for 34th at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational. Cook produced a career-best stroke average of 83.24 on the year.
Sophomore (1987-88)
In her second season on the course for the Huskers, Cook competed in a career-high 22 rounds while posting an 84.7 stroke average. She opened the year with a season-best three-round tournament score of 246, which included a season-best 78 in the second round. She produced a top-10 finish by tying for ninth (255) at the Jayhawk Invitational, while adding a 14th-place finish (171) at the Minnesota-Hazeltone National Invitational. She tied for 25th (248) at the Iowa Invitational, while finishing 26th (253) at the Husker Classic in her last tournament action of the year.
Cook also competed at the BYU Invitational, the All-College Kickoff and the North Texas Lady Eagle Invitational.
Freshman (1986-87)
Cook made an instant impact on Nebraska's lineup as a true freshman, competing in 19 rounds with an 87.2 stroke average. She also made the only Big Eight Championships appearance of her career, finishing 31st with a 261. She fired a season-best tournament score of 251, which included a career-best 75 in the final round, while taking 10th at the Panther Invitational for her first career top-10 finish. She opened her collegiate career by finishing 27th (260) at the Cyclone Golf Classic and finished 36th (262) at the Kansas Jayhawk Invitational. She also competed for the Huskers at the North Texas Lady Eagle Invite, the Susie Maxwell Berning Golf Classic and the Tiger Spring Invitational before the Big Eight Tournament.
High School/Amateur
Cook was a tremendous all-around athlete at Tipton High School, where she earned 16 varsity letters. In addition to earning team MVP honors as a golfer, she was a three-time MVP of the tennis team, while leading the basketball team in assists as a senior. She was also a four-time volleyball letterwinner.
Personal
The daughter of Max and Phyllis Cook, Nodjya was born July 1, 1968, in Tipton, Ind. A physical education/sports broadcasting major at Nebraska. She was also a member of Kappa Delta sorority.
