Senior (1988-89)
A co-captain for Nebraska, Peggy Tobin enjoyed the best year of her career as a senior for the Huskers in 1988-89. The Oklahoma City native competed in a career-high 26 rounds and produced a career-best 81.96 stroke average on the season. She posted five top-25 tournament finishes, including a season-best fourth-place showing at the Husker Classic late in the spring season. Tobin matched her career-best with a 76 in the second round at the Husker Classic, on her way to a career-best 235 for the tournament. Her 76 matched her third-round score at the U.S. International Invitational, when she tied for 18th with a 239.

During the fall campaign, she tied for 11th with a two-round score of 167 at the Huskie Classic, after opening the fall season with a tie for 22nd (171) at the Cyclone Golf Classic. She added a tie for 50th (254) at the Lady Buckeye Invitational, before tying for 61st (247) at the Dick McGuire Invite.

In the spring, she tied for 25th (238) at the Utah-Dixie Classic, before tying for 28th (249) at the Rainbow Wahine Invite. Following her performance at the Husker Classic, Tobin finished 35th at the Big Eight Championships because of disqualification in her opening round. She managed an 83 in the second round and finished strong with a 78 in the final round to help NU to a fifth-place team showing.

Junior (1987-88)
Tobin played solid golf for much of the season for Nebraska, posting five top-25 individual finishes in seven events. After opening the year with a three-round total of 251 at the Iowa State Invitational, Tobin notched her first top-25 finish with a 249 at the BYU Invitational. She finished 14th (258) at the Kansas Jayhawk Invite, before tying for 15th (161) in two rounds at the North Texas Lady Eagle Invite.

Tobin continued to gain momentum throughout the spring, tying for 35th (257) at the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic, before finishing 14th with a season-best tournament score of 241 at the Husker Classic. Tobin's tournament in Lincoln included a season-best 79 in the opening round.

She capped her junior campaign by tying for 18th at the Big Eight Championships in Stillwater, Okla. For the season, Tobin played in 20 rounds for the Huskers and posted an 83.65 stroke average.

Sophomore (1986-87)
In her second season at Nebraska, Tobin made a major impact on the Husker lineup by competing in 19 rounds and finishing with an 85.53 stroke average. She opened the year by finishing 13th (247) at the Cyclone Golf Classic, including a season-best 78 in the final round. She played well with a season-best 242 that included another 78 to finish 37th at the All-College Kickoff, before notching the highest tournament finish of her career with a third-place effort (245) at the Panther Invite.

Tobin produced her third top-25 finish of the fall by taking 23rd (246) at the Duke Fall Invitational. After taking 30th (166) at the North Texas Lady Eagle, Tobin scored the final two rounds at the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic. She capped her sophomore season by taking 24th (256) at the Big Eight Championships in Oklahoma City.

Freshman (1985-86)
Tobin saw immediate playing time as a true freshman with the Huskers, competing in 10 rounds and managing an 84.90 stroke average. At the season-opening Minnesota Invitational, Tobin fired a season-best three-round score of 245 that included a season-best 80 in the final round to finish 19th. She tied for 28th with a 258 in three rounds as an individual at the Iowa Invite, before producing a 169 in two rounds to tie for 37th at the North Texas Lady Eagle. She closed her rookie season by tying for 17th with a 177 in two rounds at the Kansas State Invitational.

High School/Amateur
Tobin placed second in the Oklahoma State High School golf championships as a senior, after placing third as a sophomore at Putnam City High School. She was also a member of the Principal's Honor Roll during her junior and senior years.

Personal
The daughter of John and Shirley Tobin, Peggy was born Jan. 23, 1967, in Oklahoma City. Tobin was a criminal justice major at Nebraska.
