Emily Zhu joined the Nebraska women's golf team as a graduate transfer after earning her bachelor's degree from the University of Miami.

Before Nebraska
Zhu earned valuable experience competing at the national and international levels throughout her junior golf career. A member of the Canadian Junior National Team from 2018 to 2022, Zhu established herself as one of Canada’s top junior golfers, winning the Canadian Junior Championship in 2019 after a runner-up finish at the event in 2018. She also won the Junior Orange Bowl International championship in 2021.

Zhu signed with Miami as the No. 53 golfer in the Rolex AJGA Rankings.

A graduate of Richmond Green Secondary School, Zhu tied for second at both the 2018 and 2019 Duke of York Young Champions Trophy.

In 2019, she added a third-place finish with a 139 (-5) at the PGA of Canada Women’s Championship.

Emily is pursuing a master's degree in engineering and applied mechanics from Nebraska.
