Kristin Shaffer joined the Nebraska softball program in the summer of 2016 and was promoted to a full-time position in 2018. In her role, Shaffer is responsible for all of the Huskers' video needs, including the shooting and editing of practice and game video, which includes tagging every pitch during the season. She also assists the coaching staff with advanced opponent video scouting.
Shaffer came to Nebraska after spending the 2016 season with the National Pro Fastpitch champion Chicago Bandits. With the Bandits, Shaffer filled a variety of roles, including marketing, ticketing, merchandise, event management and game-day video and audio operations.
Shaffer graduated from Cincinnati in May of 2016 with degrees in communication and English - rhetoric and professional writing. Shaffer played club softball for the Bearcats, and she also served as the team's recruiting manager. She also coached a high school and travel team while attending Cincinnati. Shaffer spent her freshman season on the softball team at Aurora University in Aurora, Ill.
