1989: Senior Season
In her final season as a Husker, Ruth Chatwin earned first-team All-Big Eight and Big Eight Player of the Week honors.  In 1989, Chatwin hit .280 with 45 hits, including 10 doubles, one triple and three home runs.  Chatwin scored 11 runs and drove in another 19.  She ranks third all-time for doubles (31), seventh all-time in RBIs (79) and second all-time in fielding percentage (.993).

1988: Junior Season
In 1988, Chatwin hit .256 with 51 hits, including nine doubles and two home runs.  Against Kansas last spring, she hit the only grand slam of her career and the first ever at the Nebraska softball complex.  She ranks 10th all-time with a .262 batting average and has the second best career fielding percentage at .994.  She earned honorable-mention All-Big Eight honors last year and her second straight Lee Jeans Academic Academic All-Big Eight honors.

1987: Sophomore Season
In her sophomore season, Chatwin hit .244 with 30 hits, including seven doubles.  Chatwin played in 59 games racking up 15 RBIs and three runs scored.  In the 1987 NCAA Midwest Regionals she hit .375 with two RBI.  She is another of the Huskers' outstanding students, posting a 3.35 GPA which earned her berths on the 1987 GTE Academic All-American team, Big Eight Academic Honor Roll and Academic All-Big Eight.

1986: Freshman Season
In her 30 games last fall she compiled a .311 batting average with 19 hits in 61 at bats, and posted a .333 average during the Big Eight schedule.  An excellent defensive player behind the plate, she has not had an error in nearly 200 chances behind the plate while only allowing one stolen base in five attempts.
