Nebraska Honored with Academic All-Big Ten Selections

With the conclusion of the 2025-26 season, the Nebraska swimming and diving team added 13 Academic All-Big Ten accolades to the season’s tally on Wednesday, March 18.

Headed by long-time coach Pablo Morales, Nebraska held 13 spots of the 251 women’s swimmers and divers across the Big Ten. In order to be selected as an Academic All-Big Ten, the scholar-athlete must be part of a varsity team, enrolled in the institution for a minimum of 12 months and hold a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Having achieved a team cumulative GPA of 3.64 in the fall of 2025, NU was recognized as a CSCAA Scholar All-America team this spring semester.

Seniors Kelsey Clairmont, Gena Jorgenson, Giulia Marchi and Frankie Webb grabbed All-Big Ten awards, adding to their decorated resumes.

Juniors Abby Baxter, Amelia Riggott, Jordyn Schmucker, and Beatrix Tanko notched mentions in the awards as well.

The sophomore class led the way, producing most of the honorees, including five award winners. Redshirt sophomore Jenna Brown earned her second recognition, while Marissa Laurin, Jazmyn Lunn, Riley Miklos, and Katy Zboinski each picked up their first.

Honorees Baxter, Clairmont, Jorgenson, and Tanko are all competing in the 2026 NCAA Championships, which began on Wednesday in Atlanta, Ga.
