Lincoln - Nebraska’s men’s track and field won the team title at the Mark Colligan Memorial with 159 points on Saturday afternoon, and the women’s team finished second with 150 points.
Noa Isaia and Mine De Klerk won the Mark Colligan Memorial male and female throwers of the meet. Junior from Imperial, Georgia, Noa Isaia, won his second men’s weight throw title of the year. De Klerk, a senior from South Africa, won the women’s shot put title and improved her personal best by half a meter.
Dyson Wicker continued his historic run in the pole vault, breaking the school record once again, clearing 5.72m (18-9 ¼), and moving into second in NCAA.
Berlyn Schutz added to her school record count, winning the women’s 800m with a time of 2:04.81 and contributing nine points to the team total; this places her fourth in the Big Ten. Jaylee Wingate (2:06.90) competed to a third place finish and ran the second fastest time in school history. Erin Moore (2:13.92) finished in fifth place.
Senior thrower, Mine De Klerk, dominated the women’s shot put, throwing a personal best 18.37m (60-3 ¼). Amelia Flynt added a PR of her own, throwing 17.16m (56-3 ¾), finishing second. Jolina Lange (3rd - 16.09m, 52-9 ½), Sage Burbach (5th - 14.98m, 49-1 ¾) and Lauren St. Peters (6th - 14.83m, 48-8) rounded out the Husker finishers.
Kelsie Belquist (23.76) ran the ninth fastest women’s 200m time in school history to claim first. Sakena Massiah finished in 24.39 to claim fourth. These Husker women combined for 14 team points.
Donna Douglas won the women’s weight throw for the third time this season with a mark of 19.35m (63-6). Harshita Sehrawat claimed second with a personal best throw of 19.17m (62-10 ¾). Hillevi Carlsson (PR 19.02m, 62-5) and Kellyn Kortemeyer (18.72m, 61-5) finished third and fourth, respectively.
Four Husker men dominated the men’s weight throw competition adding 16 points to the team total. Noa Isaia took first with a mark of 21.21m (69-7). Brett Schwartz (20.43m, 67-0 ½ ) and Seth Schnakenberg (20.15m, 66-1 ½) completed the podium sweep for NU. Freshman, Gustav Rydaker, threw 19.02m (62-5) to claim fourth.
Freshman, Hencu Lamberts, got his second win of the season in the men’s shot put, throwing 18.11m (59-5). Kael Miedema (17.90m, 58-5 ¾) and Barrett Wilke (16.92m, 55-6 ¼) finished second and fourth, respectively. Gustav Rydaker threw 15.74m (51-7 ¾), adding a ninth-place finish.
Kavian Kerr added nine more points to the team total, winning the men’s long jump title with a mark of 7.56m (24-9 ¾). Luke Noland added a fifth-place finish with a mark of 6.99m (22-11 ¾). On the women’s side, Ava Goetz jumped for a mark of 5.29m (17-4 ¼) to claim ninth and add three points to the team score.
Xavier Bogan (2nd - 15.15m, 49-8 ½) and Ronaldo Andrews (3rd - 14.73m, 48-4) added 13 points to the team total in the men’s triple jump.
Ela Velepec jumped a personal best, 1.86m (6-1 ¼) to take first in the women’s high jump competition. Husker teammate, Karsyn Leeling, jumped 1.80m (5-10 ¾) claiming second. These Husker women combined to add 16 points to the team score.
Mason Kooi earned the men’s high jump title and nine more points for the Huskers, clearing 2.14m (7-0 ¼). Desire Tonye Nymeck finished third with a mark of 2.09m (6-10 ¼)
Arina Razina earned her second event title of the season by winning the women’s pole vault title, clearing 4.20m (13-9 ¼). Aspen Fears (3.81m, 12-6) added three points to the team score, finishing sixth.
Rajer Gurode took third in the women’s 60m dash in 7.49. Nebraska’s Elo Blessing Okpah (7.62) claimed sixth. These NU athletes combined to add nine points to the team score.
Ashriel Dixon (6.86) competed as the lone Husker in the men’s 60m race where he tallied five more team points with his fourth place finish. Dixon tabbed three points to Nebraska’s total with his sixth place finish in the men’s 200m race with a time of 22.63.
Husker women’s mile competitors added 11 points to the team title. Ali Bainbridge finished second overall running a new personal record time of 4:43.59 while Alexandra Joyce (4:55.20) took fifth.
Huskers Tommy Rice (7th, 4:15.28) and Riley Boonstra (9th, 4:32.49) competed in the men’s mile to combine for four points that were added to the growing team total.
Sydney Drevlow (1:34.17) tabbed nine points to the Husker team score with her first place finish in the women’s 600m race. Jordan Metzler strided to second place and set a new personal record of 1:34.28; she added seven points to the NU score. Abrielle Artley capped the podium with her third place finish in 1:34.32.
Gabe Nash claimed the men’s 600m title in 1:17.57. Shadrack Chilia took third in his first collegiate meet as a Husker running 1:18.55. James Ledbetter crossed the line in a personal record time of 1:19.3 to claim fourth. These competitive performances combined for an additional 15 points to be added to the team total.
Victoria Aransiola (57.95) added three points to the Nebraska total with her eighth place finish in the women’s 400m race.
Emmanuel Rwotomiya showed out for the Huskers with his second place finish in the men’s 400m race running 47.96 and scoring seven points to add to the Husker’s team score. Jacorric Allen tabbed five points to the team score with his fourth place finish in 49.00.
Kaleb Sharp (1:52.19) finished in first place of the men’s 800m race to add nine points to the team total. William McDavid followed close behind in 1:52.23 to claim second and tab seven more points on the team total.
Alea Hardie ran away with the women’s 3000m title in her first ever attempt at the distance in competition with a time of 9:41.31. Jordyn Brown placed 10th in 10:11.01. These women combined for 10 more team points.
On the men’s side, Dennis Chapman earned five points for the Husker men, running 8:16.95. Grant Wasserman finished tenth with a time of 8:30.43.
Abrielle Artley, Victoria Aransiola, Sakena Massiah and Kelsie Belquist helped the Huskers win the women’s 4x400m title, running 3:39.81.
The men’s 4x400m relay came down to the last lap where Nebraska anchor, James Ledbetter, pulled out the win with a team time of 3:14.60 marking the team’s fastest time of the season.
