The Nebraska soccer team (7-3-5, 2-3-3 Big Ten) will head to Los Angeles, Calif., to take on USC on Thursday, Oct. 16 and UCLA on Sunday, Oct. 19. NU’s game against the Trojans is set for 9 p.m (CT) and the match against the Bruins will kick off at 3 p.m. (CT). Both matches will be streamed on B1G+.
Last Time Out
The Huskers grabbed their first conference wins of the season with two straight shutout victories last week. The Big Red downed Purdue, 1-0, on Thursday and Maryland, 2-0, on Sunday. Reagan Raabe, Lauryn Anglim and Ella Rudney each recorded a goal over the weekend.

- As a team, NU ranks first in the conference with 103 corner kicks and 265 shots and third with 30 assists.
- The Big Red went undefeated through 10 games in 2025, including its whole non-conference slate. The last time NU went undefeated in non-conference play was 2000. The 2023 Huskers, who made the NCAA Elite Eight and won a Big Ten Championship, went undefeated through eight games.

- During the 2024 season, the Huskers averaged 1,437 fans per game at Hibner Stadium, second most in Husker history and 11th in the nation. NU added a total attendance of 12,933, which ranked 18th nationally.
- Head Coach John Walker enters his 32nd season, alongside assistant coaches Savanah Anderson-Baer (third season), Ian Bridge (10th season) and Dan Ball (first season). Walker has a 378-206-67 record in his career and has coached all 31 seasons in Nebraska soccer history. Coach Walker is one of nine active head coaches in the NCAA to be head coach for the whole duration of a program.
Scouting the USC Trojans
- USC is 7-5-1 in 2025 with an even 4-4-0 mark in Big Ten games. The Trojans currently sit at seventh in the conference standings.
- Jaiden Anderson and Maribel Flores each have six goals and four assists for USC. Ines Derrien adds four goals.
- Bella Grust has started all 13 games in goal and allows 1.33 goals per game. She has 40 saves on the season.
- Head coach Jane Alukonis is in her fourth season overall and at USC. She has amassed a 48-14-11 record in her career.
- The Huskers are 3-2-1 all-time against USC. The two teams last met in 2022, and that matchup ended in a 1-1 tie.
Scouting the UCLA Bruins
- UCLA is 8-4-2 overall this season with a 4-2-2 record in conference play. The Bruins sit at sixth in the Big Ten standings.
- UCLA is first in the county with 0.36 goals allowed per game.
- Bella Winn leads the Bruins with four goals, and Emma Egizii and Val Vargas each have contributed two.
- Daphne Nakfoor has started 13 games in the net this year and allows 0.43 goals per game. She has racked up 37 saves.
- Head coach Margueritte Aozasa has spent all four years of her career at UCLA. She owns a record of 63-12-7.
