Nebraska Garners Four All-Academic Honors

Woodland, Calif.-The Nebraska men's gymnastics team placed four of its members on the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation's All-Academic Team, Executive Director Al Beaird announced this week. Huskers selected to the team included juniors Michael Killeen and Andreas Hofer, sophomore Wyatt Baier and redshirt freshman Mark Ringle. A total of 27 athletes from five schools were honored.

In order to earn a spot on the All-Academic Team, student-athletes must meet several criteria. The student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 or better cumulative GPA and hold at least sophomore standing academically. In addition, they must have completed at least one full academic year at the nominating institution prior to nomination. Finally, each student-athlete must have competed in 50 percent or more of the institution's competition.
