2012 (Senior)
Senior Michael Killeen competed in one meet for the Huskers as a senior in 2012, scoring a 10.60 on pommel horse at Arizona State.
A standout for the Huskers in the classroom throughout his four-year career, Killeen claimed academic All-Big Ten honors and a pair of spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in 2011-12.
2011 (Junior)
Killeen competed regularly on pommel horse for the Huskers throughout his junior season in 2011. The Olathe, Kan., native, notched a career-high 12.95 on horse at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships to close his season. His previous career best came with a 12.55 against eventual national champion Stanford at the Bob Devaney Sports Center on March 6.
2010 (Sophomore)
Killeen was a steady worker in the practice gym but did not appear for the Huskers in competition. A strong performer in the classroom, Killeen earned spots on the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll in both the fall and spring semesters as an architectural engineering major.
2009 (Freshman)
A walk-on from Olathe, Kan., Killeen built experience during his first season with the Huskers. He earned a spot on the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll in the spring of 2009 for his success in the classroom.
Before Nebraska
Killeen competed at Emerald City Gymnastics in Overland Park, Kan., under Coach Mike Thomas before joining the Nebraska men's gymnastics team. Killeen was a 2008 graduate of Olathe South High School. Killeen chose Nebraska over Illinois and Iowa.
Personal
The son of Brad and Jean Killeen, Michael was born on Jan. 2, 1990, and has a sister, Erin. Michael earned his bachelor's degree from Nebraska in May of 2013, after majoring in pre-landscape architecture. He captured academic All-Big Ten honors in 2012, after earning first-team academic All-Big 12 honors as a junior in 2011. He captured spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in both the fall and spring semesters of 2011-12, and was a three-time member of the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll.
