Huskers Topped by Racers

Murray, Ky.-The Nebraska rifle team concluded their weekend of competition Monday on the range against the Murray State Racers. The Huskers fell to the Racers by a score of 4,657-4,602.

Janine Dutton led the way for NU, firing a match-best air rifle score of 592. Her smallbore score of 565 was third-best for the Huskers, and put her total on the day at 1,157.

Joyce Kim followed Dutton with a combined score of 1,155. Kim's effort of 575 in smallbore was the best for the Big Red on Sunday. She also posted a 580 in air rifle.

The Huskers are now 3-6 on the season and have three regular-season matches left. They will have a week to prepare before they travel to Colorado Springs, Colo. to challenge Air Force on Jan. 22. The match is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m.
