Senior (2012-13)
Joyce Kim made 11 smallbore appearances as a senior, claiming one indvidual smallbore title. At the Withrow Open, Kim fired a score of 582 in smallbore, tying her career high. In air rifle, Kim made 11 appearances, averaging 568.2. Her best score came against Air Force, where she fired a 583.

In the classroom, Kim continued her academic success as a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and an academic All-Big Ten selection. She also earned spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll accolades in the fall and spring semesters of 2012-13.

Junior (2011-12)
Kim made 13 smallbore appearances during her junior season, leading the team with her 573 average. She claimed a team-leading two individual smallbore titles. Kim fired a career-high score of 582 against Ohio State in November. In air rifle, Kim made 12 appearances, averaging 571.58. Her best air rifle score was 580, which she achieved twice.

In the classroom, Kim continued her success by earning academic All-Big Ten honors as well as Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll accolades.

Sophomore (2010-11)
Kim chalked up the majority of her appearances in the second half of the 2011 season and showed steady improvement throughout the season. Her efforts in air rifle culminated in her best score of the season at the Great America Rifle Conference Championships, where she notched a 589 to lead the Huskers. Her score was also good enough to land her a spot in the finals, where she finished eighth overall. Kim finished the season with a total of 10 appearances in smallbore and 11 in air rifle.

Kim was also one of the top Huskers in the classroom, earning academic All-Big 12 honors in the spring. She was also named to the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll in both the fall and spring semesters.

Freshman (2009-10)
Kim started her career shooting as an individual in both smallbore and air rifle. By November she was a mainstay in the air rifle lineup after shooting a career-high 593 against Army on Oct. 18 to win the individual title. Kim went on to average 581.20 in 15 air rifle appearances on the season, which ranked fourth on the team. Kim competed 14 times in smallbore, earning a 565.57 average, putting her sixth on the squad. At the NCAA Championships, Kim contributed a 581 in air rifle. She earned her first career spot on the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll following the spring semester.

Before Nebraska
Kim competed for Rio Salado Sportsman's Club in high school under Coach Ernest VandeZande, the same club as former Husker Christine Costello. Kim was named the Arizona State Rifle and Pistol Association Smallbore Junior of the Year in 2007-08. Kim was also an honor roll member at Highland High School.

Personal
Joyce is the daughter of In and Mi Kim and has one sister, Kezlah, and two brothers, Sam and Isaac. Joyce was born Nov. 15, 1990. She earned her bachelor's degree from Nebraska in May of 2013 as a textiles, clothing and fashion design major. A Big Ten Distinguished Scholar in 2013, she claimed academic All-Big Ten honors in 2012 and 2013. She was a first-team academic All-Big 12 choice in 2011. She earned spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the spring of 2012 and the fall and spring semesters of 2012-13.
