Nebraska baseball players are all over the country, playing in some of the country's top summer leagues. Throughout the summer, Huskers.com will post updates, including highlights from the different leagues and teams, and talk to the players about their experiences.
In Alaska, Casey Hauptman is spending the summer playing for the Achorage Bucs, where he is 2-1 with a 1.09 ERA in five starts. He has struck out 15 and walked only one in 24.2 innings of work.
Patric Tolentino has gotten off to a fast start with the Santa Barbara Foresters, hitting .390 with a homer and 11 RBIs in his first 13 contests. He has five doubles and has thrown out nearly 50 percent of would-be runners, helping the Foresters post a 15-5 record. He is one of six Huskers playing in the California Collegiate League.
