Lincoln - The Nebraska women's gymnastics team placed nine gymnasts among 328 Husker student-athletes honored as members of the Big 12 Commissioner's Spring Honor Roll, the conference office announced. The honor roll recognizes student-athletes with a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher during the previous semester, and within Nebraska's 328 selections, 42 earned perfect 4.0 GPAs.
Senior Kathryn Howard led the impressive contingent of women's gymnasts on the list, as she was included for the seventh time in her career. Junior Maria Scaffidi also earned her fifth honor, while sophomores Lora Evenstad, Kristin Fyffe and Kassandra Nathe received the fourth such accolade of their careers. Senior Kylie Stone and junior Brittnee Habbib were honored for the third time, while junior Maddie Steinauer and freshman Janelle Giblin were repeat selections, all earning their second honor roll nods.
