After nearly a month break away from the lanes, the Nebraska bowling team will be back in action this weekend at the Capital City Collegiate Classic in Jackson, Miss.
The competition, held at the Cotton Bowl Lanes, will begin at 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 4, with five sets of four-game Baker matches. The tournament will continue at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5, with five team games and will conclude on Sunday, Dec. 6, after five sets of four-game Baker matches starting at 9 a.m.
Twelve teams will take part in the three-day tournament, including Nebraska, Alabama A&M, Alabama State, Arkansas State, Grambling State, Jackson State, Louisisana Tech, Mississippi Valley State Prairie View A&M, Southern, Stephen F. Austin and Texas Southern.
NU will send seven Huskers off to the Capital City Collegiate, including seniors Kaleena Henning and Cassandra Leuthold, juniors Katie Ann Sopp and Danielle van der Meer, sophomore Valerie Calberry, redshirt freshman Kristi Mickelson and freshman Shalima Zalsha.
